From Johannesburg we follow the Trans Kalahari Highway into Botswana, where camelthorn trees and desert sunsets welcome us at Kang.

In Windhoek, enjoy a hearty meal before entering Etosha, where elephants, lions and rhino gather at floodlit waterholes.

The road winds through Outjo, past the sculpted peaks of Spitzkoppe and into the otherworldly landscapes of Damaraland.

Here, Brandberg glows orange at dusk, desert elephants roam, and Twyfelfontein’s ancient rock art tells stories older than time.

In Swakopmund, German charm meets the wild Atlantic, while Sossusvlei’s towering dunes and Deadvlei’s ghostly trees deliver the ultimate desert sunrise.

Further south, oysters in Lüderitz and the haunting ghost town of Kolmanskop give way to Aus and the vast Fish River Canyon.

Crossing back into South Africa, we pause at Augrabies Falls before returning to Johannesburg – revived, inspired, and already planning the next adventure.
